Come to this event and eat breakfast with one of the most fascinating people you will ever meet.
About this Event
Martyn Campbell might be at the helm of Safework SA today. But his story is way more interesting than this, because his career began in investigations.
Initially a detective in the UK police service at the National Crime Faculty, Martyn managed the UK training and development program for the leaders of homicide and serious crime investigations. He has himself worked in homicide, undercover drug squads, and terrorism.
Later on, he qualified as a lawyer, specialising in regulatory safety compliance and risk, and then worked as a safety consultant.
What he found, after 30 years’ experience in this space, is that the skills he developed in homicide investigations are fundamentally the same skills applied in audits of all kinds.
But that’s not all -
Martyn has rebuilt the investigation programs for agencies like the Australian Fairwork Commission and the Australian Taxation Office, as well as Safework SA. And he has shepherded Safework SA through its worst period in history.
Argh, so much amazing, not enough space.
This event is totally worth getting out of bed for.
